Biography


Rubix Groove, formed in early 1999, was a Pop/Rock band composed of 5 boys:
Ryan Cabrera, Josh Spector, Eitel Colberg, Jimmy Henry and Ryan Eldridge.

Their musique blent alternative and jam band influences to create a unique sound that is versatile enough for several different genres.

Rubix Groove was based out of Dallas and used to play shows at different famous clubs like Trees, Curtain Club, Gypsy Tea Room and also used to travel to Austin on a regular basis to play at famous Austin clubs.

With the help of Ryan's brother, Marc, le band became the most famous music band in Dallas.
The band also had the opportunity to share the stage with some big artists: Cheap Trick, Third Eye Blind and Ben Harper.

They didn't release an album but some fans recorded their songs that the band sang.
Ryan wanted to record his own album so the Rubix Groove's story only lasted 2 years (1999-2001).

Ryan Cabrera - Guitars/Vocals/Singer/Songwriter .


Ryan Cabrera has been compared to singer/songwriter Dave Matthews.
Ryan has come with a fresh, original sound to the band.

Josh Spector - Bass .


Bassist, Josh, brought in a new style to the band which adds funk with rock, giving Rubix Groove a new creative direction.
His funky slap basslines lead the path for many of Rubix Groove's extensive jams.

Eitel Colberg - Drums .


Eitel has been playing since a young age.
He brought a hard/funk style beat which set a unique backbone to the band that is tough to fill.
Eitel has progressed into a spot in which he has always dreamed of.

Jimmy Henry - Percussions .


Jimmy picked up his first pair of tubs when he saw percussionist Brian Rosenworsel in concert.
Inspired by Brian, Jimmy quickly picked up and joined his first band, Rubix Groove.
Jimmy's diverse style can't be found anywhere.
His tools range from anything that can be heard to a pants zipper.

Ryan Eldridge - Keyboards .


Ryan Eldridge brought a new aroma which takes jazz/funk and fits it perfectly into the music of Rubix Groove.
With highly complex keyboard solos and jams, Ryan shows to be much ahead of his years, bringing diversity and style to Rubix Groove.

Those are all the songs i know of and i don't think there are more. Ryan wrote them all!
"Bobby Schneider Jam" isn't a song, Ryan only introduces the band members to the crowd and each one plays solo for a bit.
The songs "In My Life", "Last Winter" and "Lost Again" are also on "Elm St", his 1st album.
