Comments :
Ryan's first independant album. "Elm St" was released in November 2001 in some music shops in Dallas, Texas, and used to be sold at shows. The lyrics and music were written and produced by Ryan and Marc, his brother. It had a lot of success if you compare the number of copies released to the number of copies sold. Rumors say that 10,000 copies were sold! It's an album considered as acoustic, you can hear the saxophone in the songs "Last Winter" and "Spanish Song".
Since 2002, "Elm St" is hard to find because it has been taken off of all the stores and online shops. Sometimes you will find some copies on eBay but they're very expensive.

Comments :
"You Stand Watching" was also released under "Atlantic Records" and got out on September 20th, 2005. It was entirely produced and written by Ryan!
It's an album that Ryan considers as Pop/Classic. In almost all the songs, we can hear a lot of classical instruments and of course the guitar. There are also some electro sounds, we can't hear the drums or the electric guitars as in the previous album.
There also was a double-cd version of this album: the bonus tracks have been released on a second cd, the bonus disc, which was sold with the YSW album. The bonus cd was produced by Ryan Cabrera and Will Hunt
This album has been certified Gold in the US.

Comments :
"The Moon Under Water" was released on May 13th, 2008, it was written by Ryan, produced by Ryan, Dan James and Leah Haywood, and released under Ryan's independant label "Frolic Room Records" because he left "Atlantic Records". It's considered as a rock album because of the electro and drums sounds.
FYE stores used to sell the album with a bonus cd that only contained "Say" video, Walmart used to sell it with "Say" (Drama Remix) and Target with "Enemies" (Acoustic). The other tracks were avalaible on iTunes.
"The Moon Under Water" peaked at the 177th position and then left the Billboard 200 a week after its release. Only 10,000 copies were sold.
